Dahi- Chuda

In India, we celebrate 14th January as a day when the farmers starts harvesting  their cultivation. This day, is celebrated by the crops which is matured by this period. This festival is basically celebrated by feasting, and the main food of the festival is rice in different forms. So, here is one of the most simplest recipe which we starts eating on this day, and continue rest of the winter. Ingredients for 1 person -  Poha (flattened rice)-  1 cup (washed and drained) Sugar - 1tbsp  Yogurt (Dahi) - 1/2 bowl Dry fruits - 2 tbsp (crushed) Directions - Mix Poha with Yogurt  and sugar. Sprinkle Dry fruits from the top, and enjoy.

I love baking. And then, celebrating a New Year with a delicious Cake. A perfect start for a coming year. I wanted to make this cake, from the very first day, I ate it in Cheesecake Factory. But, never got this opportunity. I agree this one, is not a healthy option, but then everyone needs a break from their regular routine of healthy diet. Winter is the coldest season of the year. It is caused by the axis of the Earth in the respective hemisphere being oriented away from the Sun. Different cultures define different dates as the start of winter, and some use a definition based on weather, but when it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere it is summer in the Southern Hemisphere, and vice versa. In many regions, winter is associated with snow and freezing temperatures. At the winter solstice, the days are shortest and the nights are longest, with days lengthening as the season progresses after the solstice. In my place, Winter means lots and lots of Soups. Soups doesn't have to be extra ordinary. Everyday soup is a simplest one. One of those Soups are Tomato Soup. In Winter, Tomatoes are more cheaper. So, tomato soup is something which we prefer to eat every other day, as it is too tasty , and takes only 15 minutes to cook.
